My dream project, which I have been so passionate about has blossomed into a beautiful venture- that is- BhaWeYa (Bharatiya Weaves and Yarns).

A lawyer by profession, I always dreamt of working with handwoven fabrics ever since I have remembered. With an urge to create awareness about handlooms, recognising the work of the weavers of India and reviving my grandfather's family business was the main motive behind starting this venture.

As they say "Every dark cloud has a silver lining", I got my opportunity to do so in 2021 during the pandemic & there was no looking back. It was time to harness my passion and turn into an entrepreneur.

Our aim is to create awareness & provide quality handloom products to our clients while supporting rural weavers & artisans. BhaWeYa sources handwoven sarees in cottons, khadis, cotton silks & pure silks from weavers from almost every state of India to give the best and the choiciest drapes to handloom lovers across India and even abroad. Besides sarees, we now also cater to our clients’ needs of hand-crafted saree blouses and other accessories like fabric, tribal, clay & terracotta jewellery, handcrafted leather juttis, mojaris with zardozi work, boutique styled potlis & batuas.

We work on orders & customisations. Once the saree is received by us from the weavers’ hub, it is thoroughly checked to verify that is completely defect free. Only then is it custom packed and delivered to our wonderful clients. In this way, we strive to achieve customer satisfaction because we believe every handloom enthusiast deserves to have excellent quality products that they can wear with utmost grace.

As a sole proprietorship firm, the journey of BhaWeYa has been a tough yet satisfying one. What started off as a passion project, has now grown into a registered MSME in the short span of 2 years. Our weavers & artisans are our backbone & clients- our lifeline. Having already completed numerous international shipping orders, we hope to take BhaWeYa global and make it a household name in the years to come.
